  • Dr. Elisabeth Levac

    Elisabeth Levac is a full professor Bishop’s University. Her research interests are varied but most are related to trees. After research projects about paleoclimates of Eastern Canada, that we study using fossil tree pollen, she started monitoring the pollen found in the air we breathe. Yes, this pollen is mainly produced by trees! The present project was conceived to share this love of trees and to get you to discover their numerous benefits in urban environments.

  • Dr. Yacine Bouroubi

    Yacine Bouroubi is Professor in the Department of Applied Geomatics at the University of Sherbrooke. His main areas of research are related to geomatics, particularly remote sensing and image processing. He has more than twenty-five years of experience acquired in university, public and industrial research organizations. Currently, he is particularly interested in the contribution of recent artificial intelligence techniques to the exploitation of Earth observation images for various applications and thematics.

  • Yanis Sekour

    Yanis Sekour is a geomatics specialist for the City of Mont-Royal. He holds a Master's degree in geomatics and has acquired solid experience as a research assistant at the University of Sherbrooke and through collaborations with various provincial ministries. His main interest is in showcasing geospatial data, which he applies by conceptualizing interactive mapping to improve the understanding and accessibility of information.

  • Marietou Mbengue

    ROLE: assistante de recherche

    Marietou est une étudiante de maîtrise en géomatique qui a analysé l’ombrage des arbres sur le campus de l’université de Sherbrooke.

  • Nicolas Marchand

    Nicolas Marchand is the research coordinator of the Centre d'Applications et de Recherches en Télédétection (CARTEL) at the Université de Sherbrooke. His activities lead him to collaborate on the research projects of the Center's various member researchers, and to coordinate several of them. His specialization in polar environments, acquired during his PhD in remote sensing physics, makes him an asset to CARTEL's northern projects.
